Obituary for James E. "Jackie" Howe

James Edward "Jackie" Howe, 68, of Stephens City, VA died on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at the Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center in Winchester, VA.

James was born on September 28, 1948 in Front Royal, VA, the son of the late Clyde W. and Julia Link Howe. He worked for Walmart in Winchester, VA for 20+ years. James loved his work and being with his family.

James married Ramona R. Mowery Howe. Ramona died on July 21, 2012.

Surviving are two daughters: Erica R. Puffinberger (Shawn) of Stephens City, VA; Amy L. Waltman of Paw Paw, WV; a brother: Bill Howe of Winchester, VA; three sisters: Helen Barley of Stephens City, VA; Judy Chapman of Stephenson, VA; Lorraine Kump of Gore, VA and a grandchild: Taylor D. Torrance of Fredericksburg, VA.

He is preceded in death by a brother: Doug Howe.

A funeral service will be held at the Giffin Funeral Home & Crematory in Capon Bridge on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Pastor Alanna McGuinn. Interment will be in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Middletown, VA.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 6-8PM.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork Street, Winchester, VA 22601.
