Obituary for June L. Seal

June Lucille Seal, 93, of Winchester, VA died on Friday, September 15, 2017 at the Godfrey House in Berryville, VA.

June was born on June 12, 1924 in Shenandoah County, VA, a daughter of the late Arthur & Florence Swartz Olinger. She was a member of the Opequon Presbyterian Church in Winchester where she was a part of the Happy Days Senior Group. June had a love of volunteering at the Winchester Medical Center and previously worked as a hostess for Jimmy’s also in Winchester.

June married Albert M. Seal, Sr. on February 8, 1952 in Oakland, MD. Albert died on August 5, 1987.

Surviving are two daughters: Ann S. Tennett and her husband Bob of Front Royal, VA; Kathi J. Godlove and her husband Wayne of Winchester, VA; a daughter-in-law: Drema Seal of Stephens City, VA; three grandchildren: Robert M. Tennett, Emily Godlove Baker and Sara Tennett; five great-grandchildren: Kylie Tennett, Aiden Tennett, Joseph Tennett, Hailey Godlove and Jordan Tennett and her special river friends: The Wolford Family.

June is preceded in death by a son: Albert M. “Butch” Seal, II; two brothers and four sisters.

A graveside service will be held at the Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Winchester on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Pastor David R. Witt. Inurnment to follow.
