Obituary for Richard G. “Dickie” Lee

Richard Glen “Dickie” Lee, 76, of Delray, WV, died on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at his home.

Dickie was born on September 16, 1941 in Delray, WV, a son of the late Charles Hoy and Velma L. Strother Lee. He worked more than 10 years for Food Source as a maintenance mechanic, previously worked for Southern States and worked 20 plus years at Capitol Records all in Winchester. Dickie was a United States Navy Veteran, a lifetime member of the American Legion Post # 137 in Capon Bridge, WV where he was the senior advisor for Boys State and a had love of hunting and fishing.

Surviving are two sons: Steve G. Lee (Kim); Scotty A. Lee (Terry Lee) all of Capon Bridge, WV; three sisters: Wiletta M. Cooper of Delray, WV; Nancy J. Deem of Vienna, WV; Glory L. Smith (Danny) of Augusta, WV; three grandchildren: Joshua, Trevor & Jordan Lee and a good friend: Cindy Clark.

He is preceded in death by a son: Richard T. "Richie" Lee.

A funeral service will be held at the Giffin Funeral Home & Crematory in Capon Bridge, WV on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 11 AM. Officiating will be Eric Bridges, Minister. Interment will follow in the Delray Church of Christ Memorial Park in Delray, WV.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 21st from 6-8 PM.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Capon Bridge American Legion Post # 137, 484 Cold Stream Rd, Capon Bridge, WV 26711.
