Obituary for Richard G. "Richie" Didawick

Richard Gordon “Richie” Didawick, 59, of Winchester, VA died on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at his home.

Richie was born on August 20, 1958 in Winchester, VA, the son of Gladys V. Brill Shirley of Winchester, VA, the late Russell G. Didawick. He is preceded in death by his stepfather: Harrison W. Shirley and a brother: Todd L. White

Richie was a park ranger for Frederick County Parks and Recreation at Sherando Park, Stephens City, VA, a 1978 graduate of James Wood High School and a veteran in the United States Army, an avid Redskins and NASCAR fan.

Surviving with his mother is a daughter: Tina M. Harlow of Edinburg, VA; two brothers: David R. Didawick and his wife Nancy of Winchester, VA; Russell P. Didawick and his wife Kristy of Harrisonburg, VA; a sister: Marie V. Patterson and her Husband Bruce of Winchester, VA and a special grandpuppy: Daisy.

A funeral service will be held at the Giffin Funeral Home & Crematory in Capon Bridge, WV on Monday, November 20, 2017 at the at 7:00 PM. Officiating will be Rev. Alanna McGuinn. Inurnment will be private.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home an hour prior to service.
